Product Description : Intensive is designed for riding long distance or in harsh conditions. The reinforced Hardskin casing and durable thermoplastic tread make Intensive the ideal big mileage training tire. Perfect for long distance Century rides or Gran Fondos. I put these on tubeless ready Mavic Ksyrium SL's with 1oz of Stan's No Flats (as directed) and put them to 80psi overnight. I'm 6'2', 170lbs, so I aired them up to 95psi (as directed by Hutchison) the next morning and the rear tire blew off (as in EXPLODED) off of the rim. I figured I didn't seat it properly, so I tried again. Another explosion. Assumed it was a defective tire. Put my Conti GP4000s back on, but left the front Hutchison on since it seemed fine. Mistake. 19 miles into the ride the front wheel jumped the bead while I was going on a slight downhill at 28mph -now on my wheel with no tire. Luckily this was on a straight section of road or I'd have crashed for sure. Absolutely terrifying. I have several friends that ride and love these - one with my exact set of wheels. I guess this was just a bad batch of tires? My local bike shop said that the tires appear to be defective because he couldn't make the bead seat on the tire. Luckily, Amazon is awesome and I'm returning the merchandise just by leaving the box on the porch - they even pick up the package. I don't know how it could be any easier!!! I got these for my commuter, and after 1500 miles without a single flat decided to try them on my training bike, too. Good rolling resistance. Not a race tire, but you won't have to replace them often, either, so keep your racing slicks in the shop until race day and sport a set of these on your training rides, you won't mind not having to stop for flats. So far so good. I pretty much just got these. They mounted fairly easy without a pinch. Seemed a little stiff just handling the tire but I was looking for something a little sturdier than the conti race I had.I am about 220 to 230#s. I thought they would not roll as well as the smaller size tires but they roll great. I am impressed. I have a Hutchinson Fusion 3 700x23 front and this Hutchinson Intensive 700x25 on the back and this combo seems to fit me well. For the price and what i use them for (black top back country roads)they work great. Hopefully they will last they seem sturdy enough.
